I’m so late planting my garden this year!

We weren’t able to build the chicken coop until Travis’s vacation, and the whole garden layout needed to change based on the new coop location. Every now and again, you simply gotta go with the flow. This was one of those times.

Once Travis started vaca, he hustled and built the masterpiece of a chicken house in three short days! We still have a bit of finish work to do, but it’s almost completed so time to clean up the construction zone and get garden planning!

This is what it looks like now:

Sad. Sad is what it looks like. But I see progress!

We’re removing the old coop now since I’m letting the chickens free range in the day. We need that spot converted into more beds, then it’s time to get the coop outdoor area built, and then planting!!!! Hopefully I can start by Mothers Day. That’s my goal anyhow. I need to get the tomatoes in the ground!

Since I can’t plant quite yet, I thought, let’s get everything written down and in order. That way, when the garden’s ready I know what to purchase and where it belongs.

So, (surprise, surprise) I whipped up a few printables. And, in case I’m not the only one who hasn’t placed their plants firmly in the dirt yet, (or you’re finding this article winter or spring of a new year) I figured some of you might be able to use them too!

I’ll be all ready to go in writing at least, and dreaming of a perfect garden.
