Quick and easy naked Christmas tree
Guys, this project was so easy I almost didn’t make it into a post, but so many people asked where I purchased it from and were floored when I said we made it in about 5 minutes, that I knew it needed to be shared on here! This naked Christmas tree sure packs the wow factor.
And friends, it was so budget friendly to make. Maybe I’m bringing the naked Christmas tree into style? Will it go viral? Who knows! 😉
Naked Christmas Tree materials
- Quick set concert
- Bucket to set tree into
- Big branch of your choice
Branch hunting
We found a branch off of a Cork Screw Willow that was leaning over into our yard from the neighbors. (We did ask for permission first) But it can honestly be any kind of branch that has several smaller sections coming off of it for ornament hanging. Or, tie a few branches together at the bottom and use that as your tree! Take a nature walk and see what you can come up with, or maybe a tree in your yard needs trimmed up a bit. 😉
Cementing into place
I found a chippy, happy bucket for half off at Hobby Lobby and we decided to place the branch in that. You want to use cement to help weight it down so it won’t tip once you start hanging ornaments.
We used quick set concrete, and even with that it still took all night to dry. Once we poured the concrete I secured the tree in place with tape. Secure the tape to itself around the branch just above the cement line and adhere the other side of the tape to the metal part of the bucket. I did this the whole way around the tree so it stayed in place all night long with no shifting.
The next morning I removed any extra leaves on the branches. I didn’t want to mess with the limbs until it was sturdy in concrete. I then set it up in an area I knew the kids wouldn’t blow by in all their crazy glory and damage this naked tree work of art.
That’s it friends! I told you, it almost wasn’t worth posting on here it’s so simple. Go make yourself one as soon as you can get out for branch searching and have fun decorating it with festive Christmas decor. This also would work as a thankful tree for Thanksgiving, or even to decorate for other holidays and events! I love a good multipurpose piece of decor!

I would just like to ask what you used for the snow? I can’t really see it. The tree is darling! Thanks for sharing!
I used Snow Tex by DecorArt. It’s in a small jar and is a paint with the consistency of snow. It’s such a fun product and can be found at most craft stores!
