This affogato dessert is a creamy scoop of ice cream “drowned” in fresh espresso. One of my favorite Italian desserts and the perfect after-dinner drink for coffee lovers.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 scoop high-quality vanilla bean ice cream or creamy vanilla gelato
  • 1 shot fresh espresso

Instructions
 

  • Place a scoop of ice cream into a chilled serving cup or small bowl.
  • Brew a single shot of espresso and pour it directly over the top of the ice cream.
  • Garnish with optional toppings like shaved chocolate or a pinch of sea salt, and serve immediately.
