A stocked pantry is a happy pantry! Especially when it’s filled with all the makings for a better lifestyle. This should be one of the first steps in prepping for success. When you have the correct products at your disposal, you are more likely to make good choices. Here are some of my pantry staples!
Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar is a must. I use it daily in a variety of recipes, including my GGMS drink and lots of different dressings. The health benefits are worth the add. It’s a must for your pantry. It’s also high in acetic acid, can kill many types of bacteria, lowers blood sugar levels and fights diabetes, helps you lose weight by making you feel full.
Great to drink when fighting a cold or to boost your immune system! Also a wonderful reducer of bloat.
Braggs is a great brand, and I simply love their liquid aminos! It is an excellent alternative for Tamari and Soy Sauce. Great on Salads, Veggies, Rice & Beans, Tofu, Tempeh, Potatoes, Meat, Poultry, Fish and Popcorn and in Dressings, Gravies & Sauces, Casseroles, Stir-fries and Macrobiotics.
Nutritional Yeast is SO YUMMY and my favorite on popcorn with a little coconut oil instead of table salt and butter! A perfect addition to any meal it provides nutrition while saving calories. It’s a source of complete protein and vitamins, in particular B-complex vitamins. It contains folates, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, selenium and zinc, making it a great superfood!
I don’t have regular table salt in my house anymore. In order to make foods “pretty” (table salt white) the amazing benefits that salt contains, and your body needs and craves to function correctly, are removed. Real Brand salt is mined from an ancient sea bed in Utah, and it’s unrefined, meaning it still contains all 60 of the trace minerals that are found in that salt deposit — including calcium, potassium, sulphur, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, manganese, copper, iodine and zinc. I LOVE salt and don’t feel guilty in the least when I use this brand!
I scramble the kids eggs in coconut oil each day for breakfast and use it in desserts and other dishes pretty much constantly! Coconut oil is high in natural saturated fats. Saturated fats not only increase the healthy cholesterol (known as HDL) in your body, but also help to convert the LDL “bad” cholesterol into good cholesterols. By Increasing the HDL’s in the body, it helps promote heart health, and lower the risk of heart disease. So jump on the coconut oil train! Full disclosure here, I get mine at Costco, but this brand is just as good. Cold pressed and unrefined.
